Here are the Highlights from Bolaji’s nomination:
Demonstrating The Arc NCR’s Mission
Bolaji has been a Direct Support Professional with The Arc NCR for several years and has been an exemplary employee. In 2019, he won The Arc NCR’s DSP of the Year award, which can be attributed to his dedication, innovation, and passion for his work. This passion for the mission has proven to be no different during the COVID-19 pandemic as he continued to work tirelessly to help people we support to not feel isolated and alone. He consistently developed new activities to keep people engaged and active even while they had to stay at home.
Bolaji works full-time in a house where two of the three gentlemen living tested positive for COVID-19. He worked 12-hour shifts, multiple days in a row and ensured the highest quality of support was upheld. He sacrificed time away from his family, as he had to self-isolate while working at a quarantined house. Bolaji is the type of person that puts others before himself. He is an exemplary DSP and team member at The Arc NCR.
