Once you have met Stephen Nytrai, you will never forget him. Stephen has been serving as a youth advisor on the Governor's Youth Council since January 2007. He has been actively involved in the planning of the Governor's Youth Council Bill of Rights to support the passing of Senate Bill 1, which is a bill stating that future governors cannot abolish or change the group. In addition, Stephen participates on a Sub-Work Group of the Ready By 21 Committee focusing on education. Most importantly, he is a voice for youth who cannot "speak" for themselves and who are often overlooked when programs or services are being planned. One more thing, did we happen to mention that Stephen is an individual with multiple disabilities? When Stephen was born, his family was told that he would not be able to walk, talk, or make strides in learning. Stephen has overcome all of that and so much more. Way to go Stephen!
