More about the Artist: I have been a photographer since my senior year of high school when I took a digital photography class. I really enjoyed it and I have been working on photography ever since. My main interests are landscape and nature photography, but I occasionally do still life and street photography. Currently I am a Family and Human Services Major at Towson University, where I am a member of the photography club. Most of my inspiration comes from things I see at the moment.
More about the Artwork: Liriodendron is a photograph I took on the grounds of the Liriodendron Mansion in Bel Air, MD. The historic mansion is near the Ma & Pa Trail, which was the right-of-way for the Ma & Pa Railroad until 1958. It was the summer home of surgeon Howard Kelly, a founding member of Johns Hopkins Medical College. Today it is used as a venue for many different events. Although mostly closed because of the pandemic, people still visit the grounds of the mansion. I really like the architecture of the building, which is why I photographed it. I used Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop to make edits in this image.
