Meet the Artist: JP Henry is a lifelong resident of Cecil County where he grew up on the family farm learning to appreciate nature and honing his observational skills. JP takes all his photos with his Mom’s cell phone as it is easier to navigate then a large 35mm camera. His very first photo was taken on a 2017 vacation trip to Alaska when he asked to use the phone camera. JP has exhibited his work at the Cecil County Arts Council in both Juried competitions and a one man show. He was honored to represent Cecil County in Annapolis with a selection of his photos. JP says, “I am a photo artist and I like to take pictures that make people happy. I put a happy photo on my Facebook page everyday too. Thanks for showing my pictures to everybody. I like this a lot.”
