The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region’s 10th annual Sprout Film & Art Festival held earlier this month was “a huge success,” according to a spokesperson for the organization.
The Arc NCR received 113 pieces of art submitted for the festival — double the number of entries from last year — including film, photographs and paintings. The entries highlighted the many talents of people with differing abilities, as well as other professional artists in the community.
One woman with differing abilities entered 27 oil paintings and one man entered 15 landscape photographs taken in the local area, the spokesperson said.
The festival drew a large crowd on Wednesday evening, Nov. 16, at the Richlin Catering and Event center in Edgewood.
For close to 70 years, The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region has empowered people with differing abilities to live, work and thrive in the community by providing support services and advocacy to adults, children and their families in Harford and Cecil counties. The Arc NCR currently has 100 job openings. To apply: arcncr.org.
