The Impact of Financial Support

As the only comprehensive service provider in Harford County supporting people with intellectual and/or development disabilities, The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region delivers critical, 24/7 care—but demand exceeds resources. With waitlists for many of our programs, we urgently need funding for housing, vehicles, and staffing. Your support strengthens families, sustains essential services, and helps us retain dedicated caregivers. 

Every dollar counts. As there are many worthy causes, we thank you for considering the population of people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in the Harford and Cecil County community which are in need of the services provided by The Arc NCR.

After d’Arc

As our largest fundraiser of the year, the After d’Arc Gala brings the community together for a night of fun, celebration, and shared support for our mission. All proceeds benefit The Arc NCR, including a special Fund the Need segment of the night, which highlights a specific organizational need supported by Fund the Need contributions.

Stock Giving and Donor Advised Funds 

Donor Advised Funds (DAF) and gifts of appreciated stock offer flexible, tax-efficient ways to support The Arc NCR. By recommending a grant from your DAF or donating appreciated securities, you can make a meaningful impact for the adults, children, and families we support while aligning your giving with your financial goals.

Membership

Open to individuals receiving services, their families, agency employees, and members of the broader community, membership means joining a movement that champions inclusion, dignity, and opportunity for people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD). By becoming a member, you help create meaningful change for people with IDD and their families.

Vehicle Donation Program

Donate your unwanted vehicles to The Arc by clicking the button below to visit The Arc’s national vehicle donation program. Once the donor form is submitted, the team will reach out to you to arrange the pick-up of your vehicle donation, at no cost to you. You may qualify for a tax deduction while supporting a cause that is near and dear to your heart!

Memory Garden Reception

The Arc NCR has a Memory Garden, open to people we support, family, friends, etc., and features a path paved with bricks which are engraved with the names of loved ones. Our annual Memory Garden Reception is a time for people to come together in honor of their loved ones, to share treasured memories, and to be present with others who are experiencing the same.
