Meet the Admissions team of The Arc NCR for an introductory and informational session. Learn about the services provided by The Arc NCR prior to applying for services, as well as how to get started with planning for them.

Before a person can select The Arc NCR as a service provider, (Community Living, Community Partners, Personal Supports, or Employment Services) they must first be enrolled in a DDA Waiver. Once enrolled, The Arc NCR’s Admissions team will work with you through the following steps.

Meet with program leaders to discuss interests, goals and vision for services.

The Admissions team meets once per month to discuss everyone they met that month and make a determination as to whether or not The Arc NCR can successfully support the people in the programs of expressed interest.

If approved, DDA’s Coordination of Community Services (CCS) and person will be contacted 2-3 business days after the meeting to discuss next steps.

Person Centered Plans, abbreviated as PCP, are the foundation of DDA services. The person’s trajectory to starting services with The Arc NCR will depend on where they are with waiver approval, as well as where they are within their Person Centered Plan (PCP) year.

Initial Person Centered Plan
For all people who are applying for waiver approval, they will complete an initial PCP. Once approved, the person, The Arc NCR, and other team members of the person’s choice will meet to add The Arc NCR and all applicable services to the person’s PCP. The plan will then be resubmitted to DDA, where they have 30-60 days to review and approve the plan, plus an additional 20 days to update all applicable billing systems.

Annual Person Centered Plan
For all people who are in a waiver and simply need to renew their plan from the previous year, the person, The Arc NCR, and other team members of the person’s choice will meet to add The Arc NCR and all applicable services to the person’s PCP. The plan will then be submitted to DDA, where they have 30-60 days to review and approve the plan, plus an additional 20 days to update all applicable billing systems.

Revised Person Centered Plan
For all people who are in the middle of their plan year, they will need to revise their current PCP to add The Arc NCR and all applicable services to their plan. The person, The Arc NCR, and other team members of the person’s choice will meet to add The Arc NCR and all applicable services to the person’s PCP. The plan will then be submitted to DDA, where they have 30-60 days to review and approve the plan, plus an additional 20 days to update all applicable billing systems.

Once the Person Centered Plan is approved, and all applicable billing systems have been updated by DDA, we will work together with the person, DDA’s Coordination of Community Services (CCS), and any applicable team members to determine a start date for services.

It is important to note that all timelines are subject to DDA approval.
