Make a Difference Today! The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region (The Arc NCR) needs your support by renewing or becoming a member today. Your membership supports our advocacy efforts and the vital services we provide to people with differing abilities living in our local community. We cannot achieve our mission without our members.
As we look ahead, we look forward to continuing to increase the number of people coming back into programs and receiving the services they need to thrive. Employment will become a major focus in the next year, as our agency continues to find competitive integrated employment opportunities for people we support. Over the past year, Employment Services has expanded their opportunities to accommodate business needs outside traditional daytime working hours. People we support found alternative transportation, which allowed them to work evening and weekend hours, if preferred. This also increased their pay and the benefits they received from their employers. We will continue this effort moving forward, as well as focus on entrepreneurship and microenterprises. The Arc NCR’s other programs, including, Community Living, Community Partners, Family Support Services, Personal Supports and Treatment Foster Care will also continue to grow supports and increase quality of services. Becoming a member of The Arc NCR helps our agency to continue providing these critical services.
