The Sprout Film and Art Festival highlights talents and accomplishments of people with differing abilities through art, as well as other professional artists in the community.  Enjoy the inclusive art gallery that includes work from professional and aspiring artists and view artistic and memorable films from the renowned NYC company, Sproutflix.

On behalf of The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region, all artists who contribute to this event, and our generous sponsors who make this event possible, thank you for choosing to support our mission and to celebrate artists and artwork of all abilities.

Our next event will be taking place on Wednesday, October 14th from 5:30 — 8:30 P.M. at Water’s Edge Event Center (4687 Millennium Drive).

New this Year: Artwork Contest

We are excited to introduce something new at this year’s Sprout Film & Art Festival: the Sprout Film & Art Festival Artwork Contest!

We invite the people we support who enjoy creating art to submit their artwork for a chance to have their piece featured in a prominent location at The Arc NCR’s main office and win a $200 cash prize.

Contest Details

• To enter the contest, the artist must be a person supported by The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region (The Arc NCR).
• Artwork submissions must be received by October 2, 2026, along with a completed Artwork Submission Form. Artwork must be dropped off at the Development Office at The Arc NCR. All submitted artwork will be displayed in the Art Gallery at the Sprout Film and Art Festival.
• Artwork entered in the contest is intended for display and judging purposes only. Artists may showcase their work at the event; however, artwork entered in the competition may not be sold during the Sprout Film and Art Festival.
• The winning artwork will be displayed in a prominent location at The Arc NCR’s main office and will remain on display until the next year’s winning artist is selected. To ensure all festival artwork can be enjoyed throughout the year, submitted pieces will remain on display until the next Sprout Film and Art Festival, after which they will be returned to the artist.
• The winner will receive a $200 cash prize from The Arc NCR.
• Voting will take place during the Sprout Film & Art Festival on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The winner will be announced at the event; however, artists do not need to be present to win.

Important Note: To hold the contest, we must receive at least 3 artwork submissions by the October 2 deadline. We encourage team members to help spread the word and support artists who may be interested in participating.
